A 33-story apartment tower called 903 Peachtree has been announced for the corner of 8th and Peachtree streets in Midtown. According to Atlanta Business Chronicle, the building, which will be developed by CA Ventures, will have 417 apartments. The site is currently home to Noodle and Bezoria restaurants.

The Atlanta City Council voted Monday to create a commission to determine the appropriate manner to honor the former neighborhood known as Lightning. The neighborhood was once one of Atlanta’s oldest African-American working-class communities before it was razed to make room for the Georgia World Congress Center and the Georgia Dome.

The Atlanta Science Festival will conclude with the annual Exploration Expo from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on March 23 in Piedmont Park. Organizers expect more than 25,000 curious kids and adults at the event, which will feature more than 100 hands-on interactive science booths, live science demos, and shows from local organizations, universities, and companies.
