In collaboration with Atlanta Luxury Rentals, FLATS at Ponce City Market has announced the availability of short-term rentals for fully furnished apartments inside the mixed-use development.
A media release on the short-term rentals said guests can rent studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments for a minimum of three days or up to several months.
The FLATS are located just above the Central Food Hall of the iconic PCM building, which was originally constructed as a Sears, Roebuck & Co. distribution and retail store back in 1926. The FLATS, which normally start at $1,800 a month, can be booked for short-term stays starting at $180 per night.
The apartments have original brick walls, tall ceilings, steel-frame windows, sealed-and-stained concrete floors and “opulent furnishings.” The Wheel Loft, for example, is named for an early 1920’s 60-inch tractor wheel mold that’s showcased in the entryway of the two-bedroom apartment’s living area, and The O Loft’s name comes from an antique six-foot letter hanging on the wall.
Short-termers also get 24-hour personal concierge service, Italian linens, Molton Brown bath products, SUHD televisions and all the essential kitchen accoutrements, including Keurig Coffee Makers and Vitamix Blenders. There’s also valet dry cleaning, two fitness centers equipped with Wi-Fi, controlled access covered parking and more. All the apartments are pet-friendly and there’s also private access to the Atlanta BeltLine Eastside Trail.
While no reason was offered for this move, Curbed Atlanta speculates that it’s because of the glut of apartments in Atlanta. Regardless of the reason, it makes for some serious Airbnb-style living.
