Live Nation Atlanta has donated $500,000 to the city’s Center of Hope initiative and for the necessary repairs to Piedmont Park following the annual Music Midtown festival. Live Nation has usually donated $400,000, but this year contributed an additional $100,000 for capital improvements in Piedmont Park.

The Atlanta Bicycle Coalition has been awarded a $72,050 grant from the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety  to provide programs aimed at improving bicycle safety. The grant will fund education and outreach to people driving and biking. “Our programs and initiatives aim to make biking equitable, safe, and appealing, in order to create a more livable city accessible to all,” said Atlanta Bicycle Coalition Executive Director, Rebecca Serna. “This grant will allow us to continue to expand access to our programs and reach more riders and drivers alike.”

The Delta Air Lines Foundation has pledged to make a $2.5 million contribution to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Musicians’ Endowment Fund, helping the ASO reach an ambitious $25 million goal to permanently endow 11 musician positions in the orchestra.
