All four vehicles in the Atlanta Streetcar system have been returned to service after a vandalism incident earlier this week. Someone broke into the maintenance barn underneath the Downtown Connector and tagged the cars with giant graffiti letters and symbols.

According to a media release from the city, graffiti has been cleared from one car and minor repairs have been conducted on a second car to bring all four cars back into service.

The Atlanta Streetcar has also surpassed a milestone of more than 600,000 riders since opening day on December 30, 2014.

The vandalism incident came as an audit on the streetcar system criticized operations, ongoing issues with the overhead electrical supply, driver fatigue and more. The city said that a change in management has corrected many of these issues and a new audit will be conducted, according to a report from WSB.
