Historic Rhodes Hall will mark marriage equality with ceremonies

895Rhodes Hall, also known as the “Castle on Peachtree” and headquarters for the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation, is celebrating the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on marriage equality by offering special wedding ceremonies for LGBT people on Saturdays, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19.

All weddings will have 45 minutes and will include an officiant, professional photography services, bouquets or boutonnieres, wedding coordinator, and ceremony music for up to 35 guests. Mini receptions will be held in the ornate parlor of Rhodes Hall, where the couple will enjoy sweet treats and a champagne toast.

Wedding ceremony couples are asked to bring a valid marriage license. A maximum of 35 guests per ceremony is allowed. Appointment times are available between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., with couples saying “I do” every hour.

The cost per ceremony is $626 and all proceeds benefit the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation.
