I’m not one of the usual “What’s Good” bloggers, but after receiving a delivery of Tank Goodness cookies yesterday, I had to step in and share the chocolate chip love with our readers. I love cookies (check my waistline for proof), and I can tell you without any hesitation these are some of the best chocolate chip cookies I’ve ever tasted. Put those Keebler elves out of business good.
Did I mention they were oatmeal chocolate chip cookies? Because that’s the only kind they make. As a matter of fact, it’s the only thing Tank Goodness makes (for now). Ask my mom and she will tell you that I do not like oatmeal. Before yesterday, I didn’t like oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I am converted. Pass the Kool-Aid, or the milk in this case, because I am drinking it by the buckets.
The cookies are made from all-natural ingredients including fresh organic eggs, all natural flour and butter and there’s enough Ghirardelli chocolate chips to make you instantly snap into a diabetic coma. And did I mention they were warm? And the chocolate gooey? And the taste out of this frickin’ world?
The cookies are available for delivery only, and they arrive in the most beautiful presentation box made from recycled cardboard by Print for Change in Minneapolis, which donates 50 percent of all its proceeds to help starving children. Cookies are $20 per dozen plus tax and the minimum cookie order for delivery is two dozen. There’s a delivery charge ranging from $5 to $15 depending on how far you are from Midtown. They accept cash or checks (credit/debit option coming soon). It’s worth every penny.
The cookies arrive in the box sealed with a sticker that indicates what time they were taken out of the oven. You can even get a half -gallon of cold milk from Whole Foods to go with it ($4).
These cookies would be a hit to send to clients, office meetings, birthdays and any other occasion, including sitting around the house in sweats watching a Golden Girls marathon. A free, handwritten message card can be included for the personalized touch. Place orders 24 hours in advance via email to Atlanta@tankgoodness.com or call (404) 547-5202.
Tank Goodness was started by the Tank Family in Minnesota and was quickly franchised to Iowa. Locations in Chicago, Portland and Atlanta are open now. Thank you, Tanks. Find out more at www.tankgoodness.com.
