The Merchant will open its second location in Inman Park at Krog Street Market later this year, offering a wide range of greeting cards, stationery and books, candles, bedding, tabletop décor and dinnerware.  The Merchant will open in the 3,000 square-foot space, also known as Building A, located at the corner of Krog and Lake.

Southern California-based lifestyle and fashion brand Planet Blue has announced it will open its first store in the Southeast at Buckhead Atlanta. Beginning 20 years ago in Malibu as a tiny shop of organic cotton clothing, Planet Blue has grown into an international designer and retailer. Planet Blue will open a 3,200 square-foot boutique on Buckhead Avenue at a date to be announced. Just opened at Buckhead Atlanta is Tod’s, an Italian luxury brand specializing in clothing and accessories for men and women.

Email marketing service provider Mailchimp has officially moved into its new offices at Ponce City Market and it’s been announced that Industrious, a collaborative workspace for entrepreneurs, will be moving into the mixed-use development later this year. Also announced: Q Clothier, men’s apparel; Rye 51, men’s apparel and whiskey bar; Lily Rain, women’s apparel and accessories; Onward Reserve, men’s apparel and home goods; Karoo, South African-inspired eyewear: and CorePower Yoga.

The 27-year-old Buckhead Coalition has placed 10 new business leaders on its roster. The 100-member coalition has added the following: W. Millard Choate, President and CEO of Choate Construction Co.; Steven DeFrancis, Chief Executive Officer of Cortland Partners; Kevin Greiner, President and CEO of Gas South; Mark Kauffman, President of Kauffman Tire, Inc.; Meredith Leapley, Chief Executive Officer of Leapley Construction; Jonathan D. Rodbell, Partner of Atlanta Property Group, LLC; Tony R. Smith, President of Simmons Bedding Co.; Carol B. Tomé, CFO and Executive VP Corp. Services of The Home Depot; R. E. Turner Construction has moved to a new 10,000 square foot office at 3495 Piedmont Road, Suite 700. The company’s new offices occupy the seventh floor at Eleven Piedmont Center.

CorePower Yoga will open its first Atlanta location this month at the Shops Around Lenox in Buckhead. The studio will feature two spacious yoga rooms where students can enjoy a variety of classes offered at different levels.  The studio will also feature changing rooms, showers, private lockers and a full retail boutique.  In addition to the daily class schedule, the Shops Around Lenox studio will offer special programs including boot camps, retreats, wellness cleanses and a Yoga Teacher Training program.

Intown Expert Realty has been announced as the anchor tenant of The Berthold Building, a fully renovated co-working space located at the corner of Monroe and Ponce de Leon.
