Atlanta Police apprehend O4W carjacking suspects
Atlanta Police Officers apprehended three carjackers on Feb. 12 after they used a taser to subdue their victim before stealing his BMW from the Old Fourth Ward.
Officers arrested Marquavious Green, Brentton Ellis and Damaine Bob Jr. in the parking lot of Kroger at 1160 Moreland Ave SE, as the suspects occupied the carjacked BMW 32i that had been taken approximately one hour prior. Patrol officers along with plain clothes officer’s investigation led to the location of the vehicle, and they proceeded by working together to devise a plan for apprehending the suspects in the southeast corner of the Kroger parking lot. At the time of the suspects arrests, the two suspects from the carjacking were wearing latex gloves and a taser was recovered inside of the vehicle.
The victim, who was parking his vehicle upon arriving home at the intersection of Rankin Street and Glen Iris Drive, reported two black males having approached him from behind as he opened the trunk to his vehicle. One of the males tasered the victim and fled the scene in the stolen car.
